As a state representative for the last six years, I have fought to give Anoka and Coon Rapids a seat at the table- to protect our families and strengthen our community. If re-elected, I will continue this work by fighting to hold big corporations accountable, cut the cost of healthcare, and protect consumers from deceptive trade practices. Struggles with mental health is one of the biggest crises of our time, especially among adolescents. I will work to reign in big tech companies and put safeguards on social media, to ensure the least harm is done to our children. And as climate change continues to rage on, I promise to fight for resilient and renewable energy programs to protect us from extreme weather events.
A vibrant economy starts with support for our workers and families. This means good jobs with solid wages, and fewer taxes on the middle class. As legislator, I voted for the largest middle class tax cut in state history and to increase the property tax refund. High inflation is the result of corporate greed: Big Pharma, Big Ag, Big Oil- reaching record profits when families can barely make ends meet. If re-elected, I promise to continue my work taking on these powerful interests.
The impact of racism and discrimination in our state is widespread and touches almost every part of our society. This means that there isn’t one, or a set of bills that should be passed to address racial disparities, but that this lens must be used when drafting or passing any legislation. This is the approach I bring to my legislative agenda- considering outcomes in terms of equity and fighting for voices that for so long have gone unheard.
As a state representative I have been dedicated to climate policy and implementing sustainable energy systems in our state. In 2021, I passed the ECO Act, which helps Minnesotans use energy more efficiently and reduces the need for fossil fuels. This last year, I passed a ban on price gouging in the wake of extreme weather events in an effort to protect consumers. If re-elected, I look forward to expanding on this work and preparing our state for further impacts of the climate crisis.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
