Legislative agendas for City of Plymouth and Medicine Lake to meet the needs of our communites; ensuring high quality education for all of our students pre-K - post secondary; ensuring that Minnesota is a state where all may grow and thrive. As Chair of State and Local Government Finance and Policy, I will continue to work to ensure that our systems of government work for Minnesotans. As Chair of the Leg. Task Force on Aging, I will lead legislation to have a cabinet level entity to develop, coordinate and innovate to make MN a place where individuals may thrive through the entire life cycle.
Inflation is driven by market forces and global monetary policy. As a state representative, my job is to listen to the community and to address the needs of our neighbors and communities. Fair tax policies, fair housing policies and addressing gaps and costs in healthcare will go a long way to serve our families. The question I always ask related to legislation: who is paying and who is benefiting. Fairness is key in all decisions I make as a legislator.
Again, it is important to listen to the communities impacted by systemic disparities and to start with addressing the needs brought forward all across our state. Fairness is key. I will continue to listen and work with our neighbors to bring forward the legislation they desire. Our conversations drive my work at the Capitol.
The majority of my work in the climate space has been in the agricultural community. We have been successful in the House Climate Action Caucus in passing numerous pieces of legislation to protect our energy needs while protecting our air, water and land. Climate is an important issue to consider in every piece of legislation going forward.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
