I’m running for the Minnesota House because I believe good government that works for the people can improve the lives of ALL Minnesotans. I will work for a Minnesota in which all have clean air, clean water, a livable climate, healthy food, a living wage, and a safe, welcoming environment to live, work and play in. Voters want the very best for their children. I support fully funding public safety and public schools and holding all stakeholders accountable. Voters worry about healthcare and maintaining their rights and freedoms. I want everyone to have accessible, affordable, comprehensive healthcare, with the right to choose their own doctors and make their own reproductive decisions.

Vote Veda, protect what you love!
I will support our strength as a top state for businesses by supporting a rapid transition to clean energy technologies with good paying union jobs and leveraging all available federal dollars to upgrade our infrastructure and power grid. We need border to border broadband, high quality public schools, and also affordable housing, healthcare, and childcare. I support curbing inflation by stopping price gouging and hidden fees, and by promoting free market competition rather than consolidation.
Huge disparities in health, housing, education, and generational wealth exist. To address this, I will consider equity in every bill I sponsor or vote on. I will listen to members of underrepresented communities and work for solutions that lift everyone up, bills that address cumulative impacts of pollution, foster cultural awareness and respect in our institutions, create accessible, affordable healthcare, healthy food options, safe communities, and affordable housing for all.
Our 2023 legislative session passed historic investments in climate related funding with help from federal investments and set important benchmarks for clean energy and net zero carbon emissions. I will support legislation that ensures we meet or exceed these goals in an equitable way, improve the quality of life for underrepresented communities, strengthen our economy with good paying union jobs, support healthy ecosystems, and improve the health and wellness of present and future generations.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
