If elected, what will your top three priorities be and why? (750 characters)

What will you do to support a vibrant economy across Minnesota and to address inflation? (500 character)

What legislation, if any, would you support to address racial or ethnic disparities in Minnesota? (500 characters)

What legislation, if any, would you support to address climate change and its effects in Minnesota? (500 characters)

My top priorities if elected: 1. Ensuring robust operational support and funding for our public safety services (police, fire, and EMS), especially in rural areas. Public safety is essential to our community, and Minnesotans deserve high-quality and accessible emergency services. 2. Ensuring that our rural healthcare clinics and hospitals can continue to operate and stay open, so that patients can get affordable care in their own communities. 3. Getting the legislature focused back on bread and butter issues again: things that Minnesotans agree on and need to be done. Items like infrastructure and bonding projects, so we can maintain our roads and bridges, and update water and sewer infrastructure, especially in rural Minnesota.
The state should foster a healthy economic climate for growth. The state needs to review existing and new regulations/mandates to reduce redundancy and cost burden. We must address the workforce shortage by leveraging new technology to fill gaps, and streamline professional pathways to get new workers into the workforce. Additionally, maintaining intact supply chains with efficient transit corridors and quick responses from agencies when there are disruptions like accidents or natural disasters.
It is essential that everyone in our society is treated equally under the law, and that everyone has the opportunity to build a successful life for themselves and their families. One of the best tools to tackle disparities at the source is through education. All students, throughout the state, should have access to a quality education to give them the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge, and a successful career. Fully funding and improving our education system is a priority for me.
I support legislation moving us towards renewable energy sources and carbon emission reduction, but it must be well-funded so that the burden of cost does not disproportionately harm consumers. The state also needs to partner with the private sector to incentivize sustainable investment in new technologies. We need to address climate change, but it needs to be realistic, affordable, and sustainable for businesses and consumers.

1. Passing the "Never Again Bill." 2. Fixing the broken education system by giving local governments more control over what works in their area and putting parents back in the driver's seat of education. School choice will be a priority. 3. Reducing wasteful spending and eliminating overtaxation. Putting money back in the pockets of hardworking Minnesotans where it should have been in the first place.
The overtaxation and overregulation on small businesses is a significant issue. I will champion legislation that allows for small businesses to flourish. I will also work to eliminate tax on social security income so our loved ones can remain in Minnesota after retirement.
The Constitution protects life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all citizens regardless of their race or ethnicity. I will work to uphold the Constitution while Representing House District 58B.
I wouldn't support any new legislation focused on "climate change." I would work to repeal the Carbon Free Electricity by 2040 bill which has already resulted in increased utility costs for families in Minnesota.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
