1) Affordability: housing, childcare, education, comprehensive healthcare including physical, mental and reproductive care. All of these are needed to meet the basic needs of Minnesota families. 2) Safety: from violence, and from harassment/bullying due to bias based on race, gender, and sexual orientation. 3) Environment/climate change: our children deserve clean water, healthy soil and a safe climate for the future.
Our children and their children will need access to a quality education pre-K through post-secondary education, whether that is though trade schools, colleges and universities. Innovation needs to be supported through small business loans to help launch tomorrow's entrepreneurs, whether through store-front and virtual businesses or in agriculture.
Using the best data available to determine the causes of those disparities, the state can help to correct decades of financial abuse by assisting those harmed by that abuse to have access to business grants and loans, first-time homebuyers' assistance with down payments, maintenance education and other resources .
I am attending a conference with Citizens Climate Lobby to learn more about the best solutions available with current technology and data.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.

VOTE411 is brought to you by the League of Women Voters Education Fund and League of Women Voters of Minnesota Education Fund. The League of Women Voters does not support or oppose any political party or candidate for office.
