A town supervisor serves on the town board of supervisors. The board makes any decisions on behalf of the town. This includes entering into or awarding contracts, authorizing spending, or adopting ordinances and resolutions. I have lived in Baytown since 1977. Growing up, I learned living in Baytown means taking care of the land, helping neighbors, and being thankful for the amazing place we live. I do not take Baytown for granted, and will bring my commitment to the community to this role.

Further, I have worked in operational leadership roles for over 27 years. I understand the importance of transparency and communication, as well as managing multiple priorities, issues, and budgets. With these skills, I also bring humility as I look forward to learning how to better serve the community.

Finally, my family has been involved with Baytown for many years, and I would be honored to have the privilege to serve our community on the Township Board.
First, I would actively engage with our community members to ensure I am understanding and best representing the needs and wants of the community. This starts with the discussion on the City vs Township topic that began a year ago. Second, I would work to create more transparency of our township spending and budgets. Third, I would work to improve the overall communication between the Township Board and the community, leveraging multiple communication methods.
I believe there are multiple actions to be taken. First, as mentioned in the previous question, this starts with actively engaging with the community to understand needs on a personal level. For instance, protecting lower taxes. Next, we need to support non-profits and clubs that serve Baytown such as 4H, Community Thread, and the multiple interest groups within the Township. Finally, we need to engage with our community businesses on their needs and how we can best support their growth.
