I am a naturally curious person who has proven myself committed to completing projects promised to the taxpayers of Aitkin and moving forward in a fiscally responsible manner. Over the last four years I have helped put in place plans to increase housing in Aitkin, encouraged expansion from local businesses, and made good on an overdue promise to complete the warming house project at Aitkin City Park. These council goals came from concerns in our community and highlight our efforts to provide responsive and effective government. Furthermore, these projects required little, if any, funding from the taxpayers of Aitkin. I plan to continue making progress toward making Aitkin the best community in Minnesota.
1. Encourage growth in multi-unit and single-family housing to help alleviate the shortage in the city of Aitkin and encourage more people to plant their roots here.

2. Encourage economic growth by making the city of Aitkin a desirable place to do business.

3. Continue to support recreation opportunities for our community through responsible and strategic planning.
I have made a point of making myself accessible and providing timely answers to questions and concerns. I am proud of the fact that I have returned every call or email I have received from constituents and I plan to continue being open and accessible to the people I represent. I can be found out and about in our community in a variety of roles.
Nothing is more important to me than ensuring we are transparent and accountable to the people we represent. I believe my track record over the past four years has proven that I am committed to open and honest government and will do what it takes to ensure people in Aitkin know exactly what we are doing and why we are doing it. Government that functions in the light of day is government that serves citizens the best.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
