I am running for City Council in efforts to create the most inclusive council. The diversity in Richfield is our strongest attribute. I am running to enable more people that look like Us to run for our local offices & to throw their hat into our Richfield City Commissions. We cannot make change, accepting what is already misplaced and not designed for Us. We have an opportunity to be represented in our local city government and now is the time. My civic involvement is something I hold close to my heart, making an impact here in my community will rub off on the next generation of voters. We have the ability to sit in the same roles and have input in our community.
To continue to fight for our community members civil rights, the opportunities afforded to “most”, should not just be for “some”. I will stand to lessen the gaps in education success & opportunities for the lowest income earners. We need to update our to continue keep up with our neighboring cities so our residents do not have to go elsewhere. Si se hablo español y espero que nuestra gente Latinx, puede ver que hay espacio para votar ahorita. Registrar al minimo.
I am a woman who is a product of a Caucasian mother & African American father. Both of whom understood the importance of persuing education, and encouraged me to learn Spanish and study different areas of dialects. From a diverse background comes a diverse candidate. I was raised with the best of both worlds, and am able to communicate with people from a wide variety of backgrounds. My grandmother saw to it that my upbringing only opened more doors for someone that looks like me.
Full disclosure and clear messages that laborers, professionals and young people can understand can be a gateway to properly communicating with our community members. Richfield is a diverse city hosting people from all walks of life, people who are transplants, new to our country and life long residents. All of whom deserve clear transparent messages from our city staff and government.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
