I am the best candidate to represent Brooklyn Park’s East District because as a lifelong resident of the city, I am here to listen to the community and make efforts towards inclusivity, opportunity, and accountability. Being born and raised in Brooklyn Park, I choose to continue my life here because of the immense amount of diversity our city has which is the beauty of it as well. Though we come from different backgrounds and have different stories to tell, we all have a shared goal. I believe in the transformative power of collective action and shared vision. I will invest in our community and be an ally in empowering community voices; striving towards advocating for a sustainable future for all current residents and new ones to come.
I have a vision where every individual, regardless of background or circumstance, can thrive and contribute to the collective prosperity. As your city council candidate, I prioritize our public safety in many forms like crime, health, and environmental care. Public safety is also about safeguarding our future. That's why I am deeply committed to investing in our youth. I will also prioritize the pursuit of equitable economic development and opportunities that are accessible to all residents.
My candidacy is rooted in the power of unity in diversity, empathy, and progress. Together, we can build a city where safety is not a privilege but a right, where our youth are empowered to lead, and where economic opportunity is equitable and has no bounds. I will ensure we are intentional and genuine in increasing civic engagement for all community members. Providing education, resources, and a platform is how we can invite our neighbors to begin the actions towards striving to succeed.
To ensure transparency and accountability, I will not do it alone. I need your support, your ideas, and your voices to make our city's vision a reality. As your city council candidate, I prioritize a holistic approach in civic engagement and all aspects of city government. A holistic approach means seeing you at the table, and if I don’t, I’ll bring the table to you. This means leveraging the diverse talents and perspectives of our community to build an accepting and hospitable city for us all.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
