I am running for one of the two open council seats alongside a highly respected member of our Long Lake community. I have the utmost confidence in our ability to collaborate effectively, not only with each other but also with the current city council, mayor, and city staff, as we work together to address the challenges and opportunities ahead for our community.
My top priorities include collaborating with neighboring communities to enhance fire department services, ensuring efficient, cost-effective fire and safety solutions. I am also committed to strong financial oversight, while making strategic investments in infrastructure, capital improvements, and staff development. Additionally, I prioritize transparent communication, ensuring the community remains informed and engaged in key decision-making processes.
Community engagement is a key priority. Building on the open communication established in recent years during fire department discussions, I am committed to continuing this approach through open houses and public forums. These platforms ensure that all residents have the opportunity to share their views and be heard, fostering transparency and inclusivity in decision-making processes.
I aim to build on the success of open houses and public forums to encourage greater community participation and ensure all voices are heard. Our current council has prioritized transparency, and we will continue to uphold this standard. Accountability is achieved when residents have access to their representatives and can verify that decisions are made in the best interest of the community.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
