I will prioritize families and working Minnesotans to ensure they can afford their lives. I will work to increase meaningful investment in our schools. Including working with partners to revise the special education formula to better support our schools and students with disabilities. I will continue to work to improve access to truly affordable healthcare for Minnesotans, including seniors and those with disabilities. I will fight to increase support for families by making childcare high quality, affordable and accessible. We still have work to do to help bring more people into the middle class, and we must take a wholistic approach to our State.
Minnesota’s economy is strong but we need to make sure it is working for everyone not just wealthy business owners. I will work to do this by working to ensure that Minnesotans can afford their healthcare. I will also work to ensure working Minnesotans and families have more money in their pockets by supporting childcare legislation that caps cost for middle class families through tax credits. One emergency should not force someone to lose their home, or their job.
I will work to close achievement gaps in education through continued support and investment in evidence based literacy instruction, mental health investment, and opportunities for high education. As the only candidate in this race with kids attending public K-12 schools, I know where our schools are strong and where they need more work. I will continue to advocate for affordable housing that includes increasing access to home ownership opportunities for traditionally marginalized communities.
I will support legislation that continues to move us toward energy sustainability such as expansion and investment in green energy. I also will work to support legislation in housing that encourages walkable communities, support for better public transportation and incentives to our rural communities to build up sustainable agricultural practices. We have some of the most beautiful lakes and rivers and must continue to protect them by preventing forever chemicals from entering our waterways.

2. Safety- Crime levels are destroying our way of life, more police, safer streets.

3. Taxation & Small Business-No more tax increases, and fewer road blocks and red tape for small businesses.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
