I believe that public service is a public trust. As your City Council member, I will be fiscally responsible, open-minded, and proactive in supporting the needs of our community. I have a vested interest in Arden Hills, with four children in Mounds View Schools. I am a professor of graduate finance and economics. I’ve served on several boards and have a master’s degree in public administration. I run a small business based in Arden Hills.
Increasing affordable housing for families, working professionals, and retirees by moving forward with a financially viable plan for the Rice Creek Commons development; enhancing public safety through more Neighborhood Watch and fire prevention programs; and improving our parks and trails with a long-range Master Parks Plan.
I strongly believe in open and transparent communication with Arden Hills residents to exchange ideas and discuss recommendations to make our city a great place to live, work, and play.
Be accessible and open-minded to residents of Arden Hills, seek their input to key decisions that affect them and the community, and be financial responsible for how we use our resources.

Hello, I’m David Radziej, My wife, Kathy, and I have lived in the Arden Hills area for the last 32 years. Our home is on Waldon Place, next to Crepeau Nature Preserve. We raised our four children here, sending them through St. Odilia grade school and then onto Mounds View High School. And now we are enjoying our four grandchildren who live close by. In January 2022, I was honored to be chosen to fill the open seat on the City Council. I have been volunteering my time for the city since 2012. I served on the Economic Development Council and the Finance Council, ending my stint there as Chair, plus various advisory planning groups for TCAAP (Rice Creek Commons) development.
I am thrilled at the prospect of continuing to serve you, the citizens of Arden Hills. As a councilman, I voted for a 10-year street maintenance plan and a 10-year parks and trails maintenance program. Top priorities: *Building Rice Creek Commons while protecting the current Arden Hills taxpayers. *Building a new Fire Station at the Pine Tree Drive location. *Working with Ramsey County Sheriff Officers to protect all citizens and support their need for more mental health crisis counselors.
I attend as many community events as I can, from Egg Hunts to Touch a Truck to RibFest. The annual Night Out is a great time to meet neighbors and discuss what needs some of our city’s attention. It is fun to take every opportunity to generate new relationships with others.
Voted for funding – allowing Nine North to televise more of our committee and council meetings. Allowing at home viewers access to the conversation on the issues being discussed. Support Open Houses and Forums on property developments that are being proposed for our city.

I’m deeply invested in Arden Hills, not just as a resident, but as someone who has served on the planning commission and understands both the challenges and opportunities our city faces. With experience in public works, operations, and IT, I bring a practical, problem-solving approach to city government. My background in Sociology of Law and community engagement helps me see issues from different perspectives. I know how to navigate complex projects like Rice Creek Commons, and I’m committed to making decisions that will benefit everyone in our community. I’ll work hard to ensure responsible growth while keeping our city's character intact.
My top priorities are building a strong relationship with Ramsey County, improving our parks and trails to create more family-friendly spaces, and ensuring responsible development of Rice Creek Commons. These areas reflect the need for collaboration, enhancing quality of life for families, and guiding growth in a way that benefits all residents. They align with the long-term vision of maintaining Arden Hills as a thriving, connected community.
I plan to engage all residents by actively listening through community forums, surveys, and open meetings. Making information accessible and creating opportunities for every resident to share their ideas is vital. I’ll prioritize inclusivity and ensure that city decisions reflect the voices of everyone, from long-term residents to newcomers. It’s important that every resident feels they have a role in shaping the future of Arden Hills.
I will advocate for clear, open communication by keeping residents informed about key decisions through regular updates via newsletters, the city website, and public meetings. Transparency starts with making sure the decision-making process is accessible and understandable. I’ll also push for increased opportunities for public input and make sure that feedback is always taken into account when setting policy and priorities.
