Infrastructure Improvement: Investing in roads, bridges, and public transportation is crucial for Carver County's growth. Well-maintained infrastructure enhances safety and supports local businesses, attracting more residents and visitors.

Affordable Housing: As our community grows, affordable housing is essential. I will work to promote policies that support the development of diverse housing options, ensuring all residents can find a home that meets their needs.

Education and Workforce Development: Strengthening our education system and vocational training programs will prepare our youth for the future job market. By collaborating with local businesses, we can ensure that residents have the skills needed to succeed.
I would focus on promoting local businesses by shopping locally and encouraging community investment. Advocate for policies that reduce taxes and streamline regulations for small businesses, enabling them to grow and hire more workers. Support workforce development programs that equip residents with skills for high-demand jobs. Additionally, engage in initiatives that promote sustainable practices and renewable energy, which can help stabilize costs and create a more resilient economy
I would support comprehensive education reform, ensuring equitable funding for schools in underserved areas. Additionally, I’d advocate for affordable housing initiatives that promote inclusive communities and access to quality healthcare for all. Supporting workforce development programs specifically designed for marginalized groups can help close employment gaps. Finally, I’d push for criminal justice reforms to reduce systemic biases and enhance accountability.
I’d advocate for stricter emissions regulations for industries to reduce our carbon footprint. Supporting initiatives for climate-resilient infrastructure, including green transportation and sustainable agriculture practices, is essential. Furthermore, I would back funding for research and education programs that raise awareness about climate change impacts, empowering communities to adapt and thrive in a changing environment.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
