As a lakeshore homeowner and mother of two young children, I bring a unique and unrepresented perspective to the Board of Supervisors. My work experience spans Fortune 25 companies, small businesses, and government roles, supported by a dual degree in Mathematics and Economics from Syracuse University. This background helps me tackle financial challenges effectively, ensuring our taxes remain low and expenditures are carefully considered.

I also have a deep-rooted love for Washington Township. My great-grandparents and grandparents purchased a seasonal lake cabin over 50 years ago, which is now my full-time home. With my children as the fifth generation, I am dedicated to preserving and enhancing our community for future generations.
1. Improve the township’s already strong history of fiscal responsibility. While serving as Clerk, I proposed the board invest in CDs. We did, and I feel there is more we could accomplish. 2. Restore trust in our elections. Last year, I advocated for a public comment section in the voting survey. I was disappointed that neither side took the community’s concerns under advisement. 3. Build relationships with our local lake associations, because our lakes are central to our township’s identity.
In addition to serving as Township Clerk, I am also a Commissioner to the Region 9 Development Commission, where I represent all the townships in Le Sueur County. Having a local advocate for our community’s broader economic prosperity is crucial for the citizens of Washington Township, many of whom work in neighboring counties.

My service on the Washington Township Board qualifies me for this role, and I would be honored to continue as Commissioner to Region 9 if elected supervisor.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
