I am passionate about our community and Sauk Rapids being a place people want to live. I was born and raised in Sauk Rapids and graduated from Sauk Rapids-Rice High School. My wife works in the school district and we have three young children, two of them are now in school. I am involved in our community by coaching middle school baseball and with the Sauk Rapids Youth Baseball Association. I pride myself in listening to and hearing what those around me may need to say. I firmly believe keeping our local governments as non-partisan as possible is something I bring. Working with everyone is a priority to me.
Sauk Rapids has put a lot of effort into maintaining and improving our infrastructure, parks and trails. I would like to continue making this a priority for our city.

Looking for ways to ease the burden on taxpayers will always be a focus, but also making sure Sauk Rapids is a quality place to be. Finding ways to develop affordable single-family homes is a necessity for the city to survive.

Supporting our law enforcement, fire department, EMS, and our school district will also be a priority.
It is most important to be a listening ear to the community. Being available for community input is necessary for a thriving city. I have spent much of my adult life volunteering with various organizations and people are a priority to me. Bringing fresh ideas for community events and gatherings is something I hope to bring to the table.
The best way to ensure transparency and accountability is for the city leaders to work together to make Sauk Rapids an incredible place to be. This includes making the community feel welcome to provide input. Supporting our mayor and other leaders is important to me. Giving time for the community for their voices to be heard will help foster transparency and accountability. No leader is above informing our community of what is happening and also providing a safe place for dialogue.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
