Drawing on my experience across three careers—the USAF, IT Industry, and disaster management—I welcome the opportunity to contribute results-oriented leadership and team building for the community. After working in 35 Countries and living in 20 locations, I finally retired to Montrose seven years ago to be closer to family.
1. Long-term vision and planning towards an attractive city for family living and businesses. 2. Strengthen government transparency and alignment of the city's financial and resilience planning, particularly regarding infrastructure, to reassure everyone about the city's future and ability to weather any storm. 3. Build on our community engagement.
Open and honest communication is a necessity and a value I hold dear. As a leader, I understand that none of us are clairvoyant, and I encourage fellow residents to reach out after doing their homework. I value and encourage constructive suggestions, as we all share a broad and diverse brain trust across our community.
We need to focus on our shared goal of improving our community's quality of life while being more mindful of our budgetary constraints. On a sliding scale, decision-making factors need to include wisdom, experience, knowledge, intuition, and, the least important, opinions.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
