I will use the approach I honed through business & City Council, working with those who have differing expertise and viewpoints to develop pragmatic, fiscally responsible solutions 1)Affordability: I will work to bring down everyday living costs including: healthcare & prescription drug prices; childcare & early childhood education; housing - including examining ways to stem property tax increases 2)Public safety & gun violence: I will work to make sure our police officers have the tools to prevent & fight crime. I support legislation that keeps guns out of the hands of those who are a danger to themselves & others 3)Education: I will work to reduce class sizes and provide teachers with the resources needed to meet the needs of each student
I will work to ensure everyone can 1) receive a quality education from early childhood through career training to secure a well-paying job, 2) have a safe and affordable place to live, and 3) can access quality health care. To improve housing, I support policies that increase housing at all price points, limit property tax increases, and assist people directly (rental assistance, income-based financing, etc). I will also work to streamline employment and tax laws to support business growth.
One of the most effective ways to address disparities is to prevent them by providing an equally strong start; I will work to ensure all children have access to an early childhood education program with well-qualified teachers. I also support initiatives that incentivize investment in affordable housing, transportation, and business development in our underserved communities, as well as environmental justice to ensure no community is bearing an undue burden of pollutants, garbage, etc.
I support expanding renewable power sources at both individual (e.g. homes and businesses) and systemic (e.g. utilities) levels, as well as reducing usage through energy efficiency programs. We must also improve our power grid and energy storage so we can fully utilize our existing sources of clean energy. As transportation is one of the largest contributors to climate change, I support transitioning to electric vehicles by expanding the charging facility network throughout the state.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
