Two of my priorities are economic opportunity and the environment. I believe everyone should have a pathway to economic opportunity. I support measures strengthen small businesses because they are the economic engines of our community. I believe workers deserve livable wages, safe working conditions, and strong unions. We made historic gains last session in reaching these goals. If there are efforts to roll back these gains, I will defend them. I believe everyone should have access to either affordable rents or homeownership. Therefore, I will support measures to increase affordable, high-quality housing, investment in maintaining existing housing, and home ownership programs. I support initiatives to achieve100% carbon-free energy status

I am an African American woman dedicated to ending racial and ethnic disparities in Minnesota. Some of my efforts have included serving as a municipal Civil Rights Commissioner. I support measures to: help us to achieve a 100% carbon-free energy status, investments in clean transportation infrastructure, protect clean water by reducing road salt and utilizing biodegradable substitutes from sugar beets (which will help the environment, reduce damage to roadways, and bolster the farm economy), providing funds for vocational/technical training to prepare individuals for careers in the green economy, ensuring they build they build wealth and save the planet.
