I would bring many years of experience and leadership to the Mayor's office. I believe that the Mayor should represent the taxpayers and residents of Elmore. I would work for you. My job would be to make Elmore the very best place to live. The Mayor should be Elmore's Head Cheerleader. I will try to attend every County Board Meeting I possibly can. I will be at the State Capitol meeting with our representatives and I will go to Washington to get every dollar possible for the City of Elmore. I will make sure Elmore receives not only our fair share, but our unfair share of every Federal, State, County, and Private Grant dollar available.
I have a 35 point plan to restore Elmore and bring back common sense to the Mayor's office. My top priority will be to reduce taxes. Currently Elmore has one of the highest tax levies in the state. Taxes have doubled and even tripled for some taxpayers while services have declined. The second priority will be to bring new businesses to Elmore. We need to create new jobs here in Elmore. Third we need to make Elmore a safe place to live and safe for our children
I will make sure that ALL rules and regulations are followed. As Mayor I will represent the taxpayers. I will do what is best for all the residents of Elmore and not ignore ethics. I will make sure that every dollar spent benefits Elmore residents. Over the past several years the present Council has wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars. I will make sure that no longer happens.
If elected I will setup a Mayor's Hotline where residents can call 24/7 and leave messages with their concerns or comments. For too long Elmore Taxpayers have been cut out of the decision making process. I intend to make sure that taxpayer voices are heard. I will work with our current City Employees and get their input on how to stretch every dollar the City spends. I'll also work to get their salaries increased as they are way underpaid compared to neighboring cities.
I will work with the Sheriff's Office to improve patrolling. The move to having County protection is still a work in progress and I think the Mayor needs to be involved with that. I think that we need to take in the concerns of our taxpayers and residents and coordinate that with the Sheriff.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
