Lake City City Mayor

The mayor is usually the head of the city and may represent the city in front of other government bodies. They also can preside at council meetings and appoint city workers. I will prioritize balanced and sustainable growth, conservative spending, and fiscal responsibility to maintain a prosperous Lake City.
To ensure transparency and ethical conduct in city government, I will prioritize open communication through social media updates, newsletters, and public meetings. I will implement transparent decision-making policies, encourage community input, and maintain rigorous fiscal oversight.
I plan to engage residents through town hall meetings, online forums, and social media. I will actively seek feedback through surveys, polls, and public discussions. I will ensure transparent decision-making processes and involve diverse community voices. Additionally, I will use pilot projects and phased implementations to incorporate feedback and ensure residents' voices are heard in every decision.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.
