If elected, what will your top three priorities be and why? (750 characters)

What will you do to support a vibrant economy across Minnesota and to address inflation? (500 character)

What legislation, if any, would you support to address racial or ethnic disparities in Minnesota? (500 characters)

What legislation, if any, would you support to address climate change and its effects in Minnesota? (500 characters)

My main priority as a legislator will be to work toward all Minnesotans having access to what they need to provide for themselves and their families. I envision a Minnesota where people aren’t just barely getting by but can thrive. My main legislative priorities will support that vision. Every one deserves safe and affordable housing. The legislature needs to work with communities to address their unique housing needs and remove barriers to building more affordable housing. Healthcare needs to be accessible and affordable, and this includes EMS services. Rural communities in greater Minnesota need access to reliable EMS care. Finally, we must ensure all children have access to a quality education by working to fully fund our public schools.
Part of a vibrant economy is people having the means to spend money. This is why investing in solutions to help make things like housing, healthcare and childcare more affordable is not only the right thing to do, it will also have economic benefits. Working to make Minnesota a place where people can thrive benefits everyone. The legislature also needs to work with small businesses to ensure they are able to find success through things like possible tax incentives and workforce development.
First, I fully support the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) and hope to see it make it through both chambers and appear on a ballot after next session. Also, many of our racial and ethnic disparities in Minnesota are economic. This is why I am passionate about supporting legislation that will benefit all Minnesotans and make it easier for people to provide for their families.
I was excited to see the legislature pass the Minnesota Clean Energy 2040 bill. Investing in green energy will not only help address climate change, but it will also create good paying jobs and lower energy costs for Minnesotans. It is incredibly important that the legislature work directly with our energy providers and provide resources for this transition. I would also like to see the legislature provide incentives for local communities to implement their own solutions to climate change.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
