I'm determined to ensure quality public education for all students, devoted to improving their lives, and diligent in upholding their safety. As a member of the Hibbing School Board, I'll strengthen community relationships, advance youth achievement, and support all students on their educational journeys. With my dedication towards honoring the past while building for the future, I'm is an ideal candidate for this position.

What sets me apart in this race is my unique blend of professional expertise in Community Health and my personal dedication to preserving and celebrating our local heritage. My hands-on experience and deep community ties make me uniquely qualified to understand and address the needs of our students and families.
Improving Educational Outcomes Community Engagement and Transparency Safe and Inclusive Schools
Our residents need the opportunity to invest in our young people. By increasing engagement and transparency in decision-making, folks of all ages in Hibbing will be able to take pride in the community we've created together. Given the financial struggles of many community members and our region, we need to thoroughly review expenditures for immediate cost and long-term investment.
All of our young people deserve to receive a quality public education. I believe in fostering a healthy and supportive educational environment. My passion for community well-being drives me to ensure that our schools are places where every student can thrive.
We need to address the barriers that are currently keeping community members from engaging with the school board. Formal meetings can be intimidating and inaccessible. As a member of Hibbing's school board, I'll seek public participation at a variety of times and locations to accommodate the needs of our residents. Members of our community should know how their input will be collected, how it will be used to find solutions, and what opportunities exist for future collaboration.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
