I am the most qualified candidate with over ten years of experience in local government with Otsego and Wright County through volunteering and serving on several boards and commissions, most notably when I was elected to serve on city council from 2016-2020. In addition to my civil service, I am also an advocate for Elder Voice Family Advocates who stands up for the rights of senior citizens.

I have a record of fighting for family values by focusing on providing a safe community that is rich in community programing. I have also fought to protect the tax dollars of citizens by pushing back on proposed increases from the county that would have burdened taxpayers.
Protect Tax Dollars-Fight and protect peoples tax dollars by overseeing projects and dollars spent are used in the most effect and efficient manner with fiscal conservative approach.

Fight for Family Values There is a lot of negative talk in the city about a proposed fire station. As a former city council member, I know the most important decision in planning for a community is public safety and I fully support the fire station.

Improve Communication and transparency

One of the most important aspects of being a council member is having people skills and having the ability to listen and I think that is something that our current city council is lacking in. My intent is to be an advocate for people, and I plan to accomplish that by making myself available to listen, understand and advocate for them.
I would establish a new communication model that expands the current interaction between elected officials and residents, both in the community and on social media.

Secondly, I would communicate with sourced data and make myself available for residents to reach out to. I would also help encourage voters to hold their elected officials accountable, especially with attendance.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
