I’m the best candidate because I am an independent, objective advocate for the community, acting on my belief that Council members should scrutinize and analyze the information presented to them for clarity and accountability. As a result, I thoroughly research the issues that come before Council. Throughout my time on Council, I’ve been working hard to put the needs of the taxpayers and the community first. I also ask lots of questions and will continue to speak on behalf of those who don’t feel they have a voice at City Hall.
1) Continue our work in fixing the roads. There have been 11 street improvement projects since 2014. The city works off a 5-year plan that has more projects on deck. 2) Continue being a fiscal watchdog who is always asking questions to make sure the city spends your tax dollars in the most responsible way possible. 3) Encourage more business and residential development to come to Wyoming that are in harmony with their surroundings and neighbors, and a good financial deal for the city’s taxpayers
During my time on Council, I have engaged with the community in various ways. I am accessible by email or phone. I take long walks in the city and welcome those who want to stop and chat. I have a Facebook page where I post the next meeting’s agenda along with pictures of the city and its events. I also have an email that goes out before each council meeting with a copy of my packet and a synopsis of what is in it.
During my time on Council, the city began live-streaming regular council meetings on YouTube and posting the meeting packets of council and all the city’s boards and commissions on its website. In addition, there is an open forum at the beginning of each council meeting where folks may address the council on matters both on or off the agenda. I ask lots of questions, and also get information out to the community via my Facebook page and my email list before each council meeting.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
