As someone who has dedicated years to public service, both in the Senate and through nonprofit work, I bring a deep understanding of how government and community organizations can collaborate to improve people's lives. My experience in the Senate has given me a strong grasp of policy, legislative processes, and how to effectively advocate for constituents. Working in nonprofits, I've seen firsthand how local programs can address the needs of communities, and I’ve built partnerships to make positive changes at the grassroots level.

I want to ensure that Savage continues to grow and do so in a way that minimizes your financial burden.
1) Maintaining and expanding our parks and trails. Building a trail, specifically one that connected Bloomington and Savage on the already-built Dan Patch Line Bridge was why I decided to run originally. As your councilman, I promise I'll keep our trails and parks funded, expanding them where need be. 2) Develop with walkability in mind. We're in the midst of planning tomorrow's Savage; this gives us a chance to build a family-friendly Savage. 3) Keep Savage an affordable place to live.
I plan to engage with and represent our diverse community by actively listening to all voices, holding regular town halls, and making myself accessible through various channels like social media, email, and in-person meetings. Ensuring that everyone has a seat at the table is critical in Savage, a place that is quickly diversifying. My focus will be on fostering inclusivity and collaboration, working to understand the unique needs of each neighborhood and ensuring equal access to city resources.
I’ll advocate for open, accessible council meetings, regular updates to the community through social media and newsletters, and clear budget reports that show exactly where tax dollars are spent. I will also create opportunities for public input on key decisions and push for strong oversight to prevent conflicts of interest. Regular audits and performance reviews will ensure city departments serve residents efficiently.

I beleive I'm the best candidate because I have the skills and expertise of serving the community. I'm well versed with budgeting, government, laws/local ordinances, and public policymaking that this postion requires. I have been serving the community for many years through social and non- profit organizations. I have a public sector experience and worked with Federal, State and Local governments. I am very familiar with communities in Savage and speak multiple languages that many local residents speak. I'm ready to continue serving the community with fair and equitable representation and policymaking that reflects the make-up of the whole community.
My top priorities include ; 1.Supporting local businesses. I want to open a business office within the City of Savage government that facilitates business development dialogue between the City government and the local businesses. 2. Lowering Property Tax: We want to lower property tax while looking for an alternative means of revenue generations for the city. I believe this will releive the financial burdens on the local residents. 3.Infrastructure development/redevelopment.
My plan is to collect the brilliant visions of our residents and transform them into policies.I have tremendous experience working with and advocating for the diverse communities . I plan to have an open door policy and listen to the concerns of our residents, so that I will be better represent all members of the whole community. I will make my contacts available to the community so that they can call me for their concerns. I speak multiple languages that will help me achieve this goal.
I will ensure transparency and accountability in city government by having an open data access policy that enables residents to view and know how the city is being governed. I will also make sure that residents are connected to proceedings and meetings of city council sessions through social media live transmissions. I also ensure transparency by direct community engagements of meeting between with city council and residents where the community can voice their concerns and questions.
