I believe I have exhibited leadership and transparency in the community. I can be a voice for the people of Osseo, who will entrust their faith in me to lead this city. I have also represented Osseo with the League of Minnesota Cities in various committees which has allowed me to form relationships furthering my experience in government. I have volunteered in Domestic Violence Prevention, High School Debate, Affordable Housing, and Healthcare for All programs through community and state involvement. I’ve participated in Legislative actions and community development in these areas, as well.
1. Transparency - There has been a lack of transparency in Osseo and the community desires more open dialogue and communication with their leaders.

2. Fiscal Responsibility - I want to keep the tax payer in the forefront of our mind as we balance services, growth and future financial health of the city.

3. Public Safety - This is where I started as a public servant for the city. Police and Fire Departments are equally important. Public safety is cornerstone of my values.
I value the voice of the people, which I represent. The community deserves to have knowledge, integrity, and understanding of the integral balance of the relationship between the authority and management of the city. Working together with each member of my community, I will respectfully value all diversity, inclusion and equity of the people of Osseo. Community engagement is valuable - enhancing this area would be a goal.
I have found the community wants to know their leaders are listening to their feedback and ideas. I encourage, respect, and value each member of the community and will make it a priority to always be available to anyone who wants to make their voices heard. I’d like to improve and expound on how residents are able to interact and have their voices brought forward. Every voice matters! Community engagement is vital component in community values and transparent government.
I will maintain a balance of keeping public safety effective and affordable. Osseo is a city of nearly 2,700 people, who value the “small town” feeling. I encourage engagement and openness between law enforcement and the community. Funding public safety is important, recruiting high caliber officers, continued education and skills training, while maintaining their personal health and safety as they protect & serve Osseo. Osseo requires unique balance of our largest budget category.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
