As your DFL and labor endorsed candidate, I’m running again because we’re just getting started building the just world we deserve. I’ll continue delivering on the issues Duluthians care most about: strong public education, health care for all, just and affordable housing, protecting our environment, and growing our economy by growing the middle class. We can make housing for all a reality across income ranges so everyone can live in communities they love. Small businesses and families can get ahead and stay ahead by investing in affordable childcare, good paying union jobs, and our infrastructure needs. A just transition is possible by achieving 100% clean energy, holding polluters accountable, and building resilient communities.
Minnesotans are tired of being overcharged and underpaid while corporations make billions. As your state representative, I fought to equalize minimum wage so everyone is paid fairly, make it easier to join a union, curb price gouging, and ensure that corporations pay their fair share of taxes so that our communities can have the schools, infrastructure, and basic services that they need. Together, let's create economic opportunity, advance racial equity, and put power back in your hands.
Our government and institutions have institutionalized inequality and inequity. It’s unacceptable that Minnesota has some of the worst racial inequities in the country. As Vice Chair of the People of Color and Indigenous (POCI) Caucus, we led on equitable investments for entrepreneurs of color to flourish, protecting unhoused relatives and creating pathways to homeownership, ensuring better educational outcomes for youth, addressing systemic causes of violence, and making healthier environments
Minnesota can and must be a leader on this front by urgently achieving 100% Clean Energy, building a clean energy economy, and protecting our natural environment. I strengthened water protections with the DNR, created the Critical Minerals Taskforce to create high-roads jobs, and supported sustainable infrastructure to build for our future. The stakes are high and the moment demands decisive action to meet the scale of our problems and to move us to a clean energy future that protects everyone.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.

VOTE411 is brought to you by the League of Women Voters Education Fund and League of Women Voters of Minnesota Education Fund. The League of Women Voters does not support or oppose any political party or candidate for office.
