I’m the best candidate for the job because I’m efficient, effective, and welcome feedback from others.

I have 14 years of experience as a public servant where I learned how to objectively evaluate facts and make decisions that, without exaggeration, could effectively end someone’s life. My entire career is one difficult conversation after another. I operate under extreme pressure with umpteen moving parts at a time - all while working within the confines of government.

I work every day to build equitable programs that are universally accessible. I want to build an open relationship between this council and the people they represent. Just like I’m doing with my office and the community that we serve.
If elected, I will work to increase transparency by creating open lines of communication between our residents and their representatives, update public spaces to encourage community engagement and connection, and push to meet our sustainability promises by using carbon neutral energy sources, and implementing environmentally sustainable practices wherever we can.
I believe that true progress comes from engaging community members in meaningful conversations, building relationships, and creating a sense of connectedness with one another. This means remaining open to input from each and every resident, and centering the voices, perspectives, and concerns of those who have been underrepresented to date. Not just racial or ethnic minorities, but our differently-abled neighbors and residents of diverse economic groups as well.
I will work to increase transparency by creating open lines of communication between our residents and their representatives. Social media is a versatile tool for spreading information in a relatable and structured format to reach audiences usually excluded from traditional forms of local government-related news consumption.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
