I have served previously on the Grant County SWCD board and the Pomme de Terre Joint powers board and am a current member of the Clay County Board. I have the time and the experience to serve all the residents in Clay county both rural and urban. I would like the opportunity to continue bringing forward projects for landowners and urban folks such as the pollinator habitat in the Crestwood addition and the Snakey Creek restoration project.
To continue to assist in bring projects that benefit all residents. To continue community outreach programs such as our rain barrel and compost barrel workshops, Pollinator Pint Night. To continue our working relationship with the Clay County Commission so we can effectively deal with issues as they arise.
This office is very important to our citizens even though many don't realize that we are here and what projects we have done and have in the works to continue improving our environment.
We have been working for several years with something called One Watershed, One Plan. This allows us to partner with other counties and entities to fund larger projects that provide a greater benefit. We are part of several entities that help fund different farming techniques which can help sequester carbon and improve our soils so there is less runoff during heavy rain events, hold more water in the soil so there is less going into our ditches, creeks, and rivers.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
