Currently serving on WBTownship Planning and Economic Advisory Commissions for 15+ years, gives me an up close and personal view of the business of the township. Being able to connect with businesses, residents and government entities that impact the township; gives me insight to benefit residents and business community, enhancing our recreational activities. The Township is nearly all build out, maintaining vitality and unique community that set us apart from other cities. Keeping the Township vital and great place to live is most important.
Maintaining fiscal responsibility. We went from 6th lowest to 3rd lowest in taxes. The town has a AA+ rating, we’d have AAA if we were larger.

Keeping the town vital, continuing our infrastructure projects, i.e. street and pipe replacement, parks and recreation, civic improvements.

Improving tree canopy, many of the trees haven’t been replaced from Dutch Elm and Emerald Ash Borer. This is enhancing neighborhoods, its beneficial and creates a vitality to the neighborhood.
Health care is lacking, I’d like to pursue getting a hospice in the Township, non profit; similar to the Our Lady of Peace Hospice, supported by donations, grants and volunteers. It would fill a need for our community, jobs, and the ability for friends and family to volunteer and care for loved ones.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.

VOTE411 is brought to you by the League of Women Voters Education Fund and League of Women Voters of Minnesota Education Fund. The League of Women Voters does not support or oppose any political party or candidate for office.
