My priorities center on three things, Making life more affordable for our families and our neighbors, keeping our families safe online and in our communities, and representing you without fear or favor, representing our vibrant community with honor, integrity and a deep commitment to servant leadership.

For a more detailed view, please visit my website https://bahner4mn.com/priorities/ for the full statement.

I have long been a champion for a vibrant economy where workers thrive & families have the resources to put food on the table & keep a roof over their head. I come from a strong working class family, a nurse & a public school engineer. I know the value of hard work, dedication to public service & the need for opportunity at work, at home & in our small businesses. It's about a fair shake & hand up not a hand out. We must foster strong economic policies & innovation and protect workers.
I have been a champion in our community and among our neighbors supporting a tapestry of cultural communities and policies to ensure all citizens are treated equally and with dignity and respect. I will continue that tradition of uplifting all out neighbors.
I have been a vocal champion of the ERA for decades leading the charge as a chief author of the bill in the MN House, ensuring it became part of the platform for organizations like the MN Women’s March.
I have long need a champion on clean air and water included ding clean air standards, defending pristine water for generations to come, replacing Harrell lead pipe replacement and recently thwarting Cybersecurity hacks against MN water systems through a vast set of policies around securing our state free m Cybersecurity threats and malicious actors.
I have been a champion to keep our families and our neighbors safe. Our kids, our data, and our communities deserve strong protection, in our community and online.

I will protect kids at home and online from harm. Safeguard your family’s personal data & privacy. Create robust transparency & accountability on AI. Strengthen cybersecurity to protect our water & critical infrastructure. While passing funding for 1 of 3 law enforcement training centers here in Maple Grove.
I have long been a champion for reducing the influence of dark money in elections, creating structures like the PCR to encourage grass roots funding. I also strongly support overturning Citizens United because people should elect their leaders no wealth self interests and corporations. Our governing documents read, "We the people," and that is how it should be.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
