#1) Affordability is affecting families across our district. Everyday costs and federal pressures are burdening our farmers, small business owners, and working families. I will work to ease property tax burdens, and create an equitable tax code. #2) Every person should have access to quality, affordable health card. Health care costs are growing faster than wage increases. People should be allowed to have choices and employers need to be provided with affordable solutions for their work forces. #3) Schools should be the pride of our communities. Underfunding/unfunded mandates are local burdens. Districts are forced to ask local communities for extra money through referendums just to keep doors open. Educational funding needs to change.
A strong Minnesota economy relies on strong small businesses, thriving farms, and financially secure families. To combat inflation, I will work to lower everyday costs by easing property tax burdens and fully funding state aid for our schools. Local businesses and family farms need less red tape. I believe we can encourage investment while protecting working families with an equitable tax code and livable wages, ensuring no neighbor is forced to choose between groceries and gas.
Affordable housing, fully funded education, and local economic stability are important for every community. It is vital that communities are able to offer affordable housing so families can establish/maintain roots in communities of choice. Also, each community should have fully funded schools to ease the burden of providing quality schooling to all students regardless of their zip code. Lastly, I would support local small businesses and workforce development grants to expand livable wage jobs.
I support the adoption of an Equal Rights Amendment to the Minnesota State Constitution. Having observed government overreach and the shifting political landscape firsthand, I strongly believe that embedding permanent safeguards into our state’s foundational document is necessary. We must ensure that equal protection, fairness, and fundamental rights for every individual remain protected under the law, preserving these rights so they can never be subjected to political trends.
I will support legislation that safeguards our natural resources while helping local farms and businesses thrive. I will advocate for fully funding state soil and water conservation districts to encourage local farmers with voluntary conservation practices that protect groundwater. Additionally, I will prioritize state investments to modernize municipal water infrastructure, ensuring safe drinking water without overburdening taxpayers.
Public safety is the foundation of any thriving community. I will support legislation providing permanent state funding for law enforcement recruitment, retention, and critical training. We must also fund models that pair police with mental health professionals for non-violent crises. Lastly, the judicial system must be empowered to strengthen penalties for violent offenses and providing needed resources to local governments so we can ensure our streets, schools, and parks remain safe.
I would support state level DISCLOSE Act legislation to eliminate dark money by requiring full, prompt disclosure of donors behind independent political spending. The influence of big money needs to be eliminated.

There should also be an expansion of Minnesota’s Public Contribution Refund (PCR) program and explore small-donor matching models to level the playing field for all campaigns.

There also needs to be fundraising limits that all candidates must be accountable across the board.
