I am running for Balaton City Council because I care deeply about our community and want to help make Balaton a strong, welcoming, and sustainable place to live, work, and raise a family. I will bring a common-sense, collaborative approach to the council, listen carefully to residents, and make decisions based on what is best for Balaton, not personal agendas. I believe local government works best when elected officials are accessible, responsible with taxpayer dollars, and willing to work together to solve problems. I will be a dependable voice for residents and a strong advocate for Balaton’s future.
My top three priorities will be: (1) responsible financial management, ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent wisely; (2) maintaining and improving our streets, infrastructure, and essential city services; and (3) strengthening community involvement and supporting local businesses, organizations, and residents. These priorities will help keep Balaton financially healthy, improve our quality of life, and build a stronger community for current and future generations.
I will make it a priority to listen to all residents and make myself available to hear their ideas, concerns, and suggestions. I will encourage open dialogue through community meetings, conversations with residents, and accessible communication. Every resident deserves to be heard and treated with respect, regardless of age, background, or viewpoint. I will seek common ground, consider different perspectives, and represent the interests of the entire Balaton community.
I will promote transparency and accountability by ensuring residents have clear access to city information, decisions, and finances. I will encourage open communication, actively listen to community concerns, and provide regular updates on priorities and progress. I believe leaders must be accessible, honest, and responsible for their decisions. By inviting public input and following through on commitments, I will help build trust and ensure city government truly serves its community.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
