For 26 years, Champlin has been my home. I raised my children here, volunteered in our schools and community, built a small business and have had the opportunity to lead as a nonprofit board president and work as an attorney. These experiences have given me a broad perspective on our community and taught me how to listen, collaborate, navigate complex issues, and lead with accountability. I know effective Council service requires preparation, thoughtful questions, careful listening, and the ability to balance competing priorities. I will approach the role with curiosity, independence, and respect for residents and city staff. Most importantly, I want to help turn Champlin’s plans and priorities into meaningful results for residents.
Responsible Growth & Infrastructure: Plan thoughtfully for Champlin’s future while balancing development, housing, infrastructure, and community character.

Effective Governance & Financial Stewardship: Ensure Council is prepared, sets clear priorities, provides effective oversight, and uses taxpayer dollars responsibly.

Meaningful Community Engagement: Ensure residents are heard early and have meaningful input before important decisions are made.
Champlin’s Strategic Plan identifies a Connected Community as a priority. I would build on that goal by seeking input early and through different methods. I will listen to residents where they live, work and gather, not just at council meetings. I will listen respectfully to different perspectives, communicate what I hear, and help residents understand the choices before the Council and how their input influenced decisions.
Transparency and accountability begin with a prepared Council. I will do the work to understand issues, ask questions, and explain my reasoning. I will support accessible information about Champlin's city business, along with clear measures of progress toward Council priorities. I also believe in closing the loop with residents: sharing what we heard, what Council decided, and why. Accountability means measuring results and being willing to adjust when something is not working.
My expertise, experience, knowledge, and career already makes me the perfect fit and best candidate for this position. A 34 year union member serving the last 16 years as superintendent on multimillion building & civil projects. Acting as the primary liaison between the owners, architects, subcontractors, working with city and state inspectors on zoning laws and codes. From the first pre-con meeting throughout the build of project.I manage the hours, budget, and scheduling of the project. Responsible for daily reports, weekly meetings and safety of worker to bring projects on time and budget. I believe all city/ government must practice fiscal stewardship, aligning public spending of hard earned dollars of the tax payers they represent.
Community safety,taxes-budget, Business development and infrastructure. Do you feel safe living in Champlin? If yes. I will work hard with the City Council and the Community in keeping Champlin safe.Champlin has a A rating for safety. Taxes&Budgeting is an important part to make sure we do not overburden taxes on residents. Keeping the businesses that we have and expanding new small businesses, along with keeping up with our infrastructure. CHAMPLIN is rated 49th to live in Mn out 856 citys
Since we have lived in Champlin, it has been a diverse neighborhood. Our Neighbors live and coincide together helping each other. When my Wife was diagnosed with cancer living here those neighbors of all diversity were the first to bring food for our family.Thats what we do for community help each other through hard times. My neighbors have expressed a common interest, a safe community for their children /families w/low taxes. This will be the same approach if elected Council member Ward 2
Transparency starts making information easy to find. I will make sure our city budget ,projects, updates and meeting notes are posted online w/plain simple language. I also plan to use digital tools and regular Townhall meetings so residence of Champlin can question and track how tax’s dollars are spent. Also, sharing information before decisions are finalized. A city works best when the people know what is happening and have a voice in decisions. The same way that I run my projects.
