I believe that we need to get back to a pro-resident voice council. Council members are elected to represent the voice of the people and I will do just that! I am opposed to the Hyperscale Data Center and feel that our voices have been ignored! I believe in open, transparent communication and will ensure future projects are properly communicated with the public. We are better that bare minimum!
1. Motion for a Moratorium on Data Centers! Enact stricter setbacks from homes and limit the size of Data Centers. 2. Look at ways to help alleviate our tax burdens. We are spending too much money. We need to slow down, collect what we owe and use that. We need smart, responsible growth. We do not need projects that force residents to move. 3. We need one fenced in park to ensure a safe accessible outdoor play space is available for all children.
TOWN HALLS! We need to hold Q&A with Council and Residents where Resident questions/concerns are immediately addressed. We need big projects on their own Council meeting agenda, not placed on a full agenda and minimized. Phone calls made and Emails sent to council members should be responded to. If a council member is too busy to respond to constituents, they shouldn't be on council! Residents deserve better!
I will respond to all forms of communication. I will request Town Halls to better engage Resident feedback and encourage communication between pur community members and council. Without our Residents, we do not have a Community.
I believe Wright County Sheriff Office does a great job. I would continue to develop that relationship. I would encourage a youth street safety program where kids are offered safety courses specific to bike/scooter riding as it is definitely needed.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
