Experience. I am concluding my 3rd term as a Council Member, have served on many community/ volunteer organizations to include the RT Autism Awareness Foundation, the Rochester Police Benevolent Association, Stewartville Youth Athletic Assn, other coaching positions and just finished a nearly 28 year career working in Government as a Police Lieutenant. I have also held elected positions on the Statewide Police Labor Organization (LELS, several terms) and served as a 2 term VP of the Minnesota Police and Peace Officer Association (MPPOA).
1) Practical/ Common Sense Government to encourage the Public Sector to succeed within our Community (Commercial and Residential) to enhance continued/ sustained growth 2) Fiscal Responsibility - Limit Government reach and growth where possible while not allowing services to decline 3) Continue with a strong emphasis on Government Relations with our Community to include continual collaboration with citizens, the School District and Religious community.
I spend a great deal of time within the community and have always remained open to listening to the citizens, businesses, visitors and more. I openly share my contact information and encourage comments and ideas from all. I have vast experience working with the Public so I am fairly adept at distinguishing between those truly wanting to help and those looking to be heard.
Mainly, I will defer to my prior answer. I encourage anyone looking to vote to check my record and openly research my time in Service. I remain vocal at meetings and am not afraid to ask tough questions on behalf of the Community. More importantly, I feel I have a history of not shying away from tough questions asked of me and the Council

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
