My lifelong commitment to public safety, education and service to others has prepared me to lead and make decisions that benefit our community. As an independent, self-funded candidate, I am accountable to the residents of Chanhassen, not special interests. Drawing on decades of leadership in law enforcement, higher education and prior city council service, I have the experience to address opportunities and challenges facing our city. I will bring people together, build consensus, and advance practical, common-sense solutions that preserve and enhance Chanhassen's exceptional quality of life.
My top three priorities are public safety, responsible growth and fiscal responsibility. I will support public safety personnel with the resources needed to protect our community and maintain rapid response times. I will advocate for thoughtful, resident-driven growth that preserves our neighborhoods, parks, lakes and community character. I will promote transparent budgeting that prioritizes core services, respects taxpayers and maintains critical infrastructure and essential city services.
I believe effective leadership starts with listening. Our community includes people with diverse backgrounds, experiences, needs and viewpoints and each deserves a voice in local government. I will engage residents through community events, neighborhood conversations and open communication, while making a special effort to reach those who may feel overlooked or underrepresented. My goal is to build trust, find common ground and make decisions that benefit the whole community.
I will ensure transparency and accountability by being accessible, listening to residents, communicating openly about city decisions and encouraging public participation. I support clear budgets, responsible use of taxpayer dollars and easy access to city information. Chanhassen residents deserve leaders who explain their decisions, welcome feedback and remain accountable to the people they serve.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
