I bring a combination of current council experience, 13 years in technology and engineering, and nearly three years in leadership. My approach is to listen first, ask tough questions, understand the full impact of a decision, and look for practical solutions. My wife and I chose New London to raise our son, and we plan to stay for the long term. I care deeply about this community and will work to serve it thoughtfully and responsibly.
My priorities are responsible long-term planning, maintaining the services and infrastructure residents rely on, and keeping city government accessible and responsive. I also want to support a strong local business community and the parks, events, and public spaces that make New London a great place to live. In each area, I will ask what a decision costs, who it affects, and how it serves the community over time.
I will make myself accessible, listen to residents with different experiences and viewpoints, and avoid assuming that the loudest voice represents everyone. I want people to feel comfortable contacting me, stopping me around town, or speaking at meetings. Even when we disagree, residents deserve to be heard and treated with respect. My responsibility is to consider the whole community when making decisions.
I will come prepared, ask questions publicly, and make sure I understand the costs, benefits, and long-term effects of decisions before voting. I will be available to residents and explain the reasoning behind my positions. I also support clear, timely communication from the city so residents can understand what is being considered, how decisions are made, and how they can participate.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
