Community should represent a connectiveness to the people and I care about people. About their well being and being included in decision effecting their lives. I've gotten to know many residents of Harmony since moving here six years ago. And am sorry to hear so many say they feel under or non represented as a resident of Harmony. To many of those same people have admitted they feel they have no voice. And I because I understand their dismay I have choosen to help change that. We can have connectedness more than to the weather, the crops, and sports. Those are also important subjects, but there are thoughts, concerns, and issues that are not being heard. Much can be learned by inviting others to share their thoughts and ideas.
1. To open the doors of thoughtful dialogue that share feelings, opinions, and suggestions. Using transparency as a tool for thoughtful dialogue to share one's feelings, opinions, and suggestions for all of the people of Harmony with no exclusion of consideration for anyone in our deliberations. 2. By attempting to pursue the possibility of returning a pharmacy to Harmony residents. 3. And by better informing the residents about data centers prior to there just being one.
Transparency requires accountability and vice versa. Similarly speaking requires listening. And if we listen before we disagree much can be learned to progress forward. As a public figure I will model decency, humanity, and kindness in the effort to unite more than control. I think it is appropriate to challenge the Harmony community to become involved in their local politics so as to have a sense of ownership to its policies, and progress.
I will engage with them as people whether a child, a teen, an adult, or as a senior. As an elected official it would be my job and pleasure to have them feel important enough to be included. To listen and properly direct the help needed. I will work with city council and existing boards to make best choices for Harmony residents. Open city council meetings allowing for more than two minute comment times from community members. Giving them a little more time to cover their point being made.
By exploring and then considering what works, what needs a change to work better, and consideration of new suggestions toward helping residents be a larger part of what effects them including the how's and why's of all things within our community. Together change can occur. When there is more unity than division community has a greater value for all.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
