I have a lot of experience in my past from which I've gained a lot of knowledge. First, I obtained a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. I have worked for many companies, including Fortune 500 companies in areas such as pharmaceuticals and logistics. I have also worked in government, working in IT for Hennepin County. Besides my professional work, I was also the Treasurer for my Homeowner's Association for 20 years. I also also the Treasurer for another association for 10 years where I owned rental property. This was a chance to balance the needs of the association with the costs for the homeowners. I look forward to bringing all of this experience to the City Council and also learning from the current council members.
1) To always find that balance of the needs of the city with the cost to the residents. Everyone wants lower taxes, but people also want increased services. So when we spend, we need to spend wisely.

2) To ensure the future of Nevis is also being protected which includes saving for bigger projects and keeping the city in a good financial position.

3) Attempt to increase the property tax base of the city. If a property is undeveloped, the tax the city collects isn't maximized.
We live in a small community with a population of under 400 people. I will always be available to answer any questions. Also, I have experience working with people of all demographics. Diversity is not something new to me, and I hope for all votes I make, I can reflect on how this decision might affect anyone and everyone.
All residents are invited to attend any city council meeting. The meetings are recorded and available to watch online. The meeting minutes are also available online. If after all of that, there are still questions, those can be directed to city staff or I am happy to attempt to answer them myself.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
