I have served on the Little Canada City Council for the last four years and have an understanding of city finances and the importance of balancing resident needs with responsible spending. Meeting the needs of residents and city services requires listening to residents and collaboration between staff and council. I value the teamwork involved in setting both short- and long-term goals and have been involved in multiple strategic plans with the city.
Enhancing relationships with the residents, businesses, neighboring communities, county and state representatives.

Completion of a community building — a place for city events and for community gathers. This is a major investment for the city and its residents, so we need to avoid overspending while building something special that serves today’s needs and the future.

Planning future pedestrian bridge provide a safer connection across 35E and link trails throughout our community.
I will work to collaborate with residents and the community, by attending events, open houses and being available to listen.
I will be transparent and open about budgeting, meetings and city projects. I will encourage the staff to present information in multiple formats and languages, allowing residents to be informed and engaged.

I bring a strong connection to Little Canada, experience serving our community, and a commitment to listening to residents. My family has called Little Canada home for ten years, I serve as Chair of the Parks & Recreation Commission, and I’m a mental health therapist. During this campaign, I’ve knocked on countless doors. I’ve listened to different perspectives and learned what people value and want for our future. I would bring that same approach to City Council: listen carefully, work collaboratively, be responsible with taxpayer dollars, and focus on practical solutions for Little Canada.
My top three priorities would be, maintaining our infrastructure and parks, accessibility and transparency. I want to be mindful of property-tax increases and ensure residents receive good value for their tax dollars, while continuing to invest in the roads, parks, and services that make Little Canada a great place to live. I also want residents to stay informed, have opportunities to provide feedback, and feel that their voices are heard.
I plan to engage with our diverse community by listening first and making sure residents have meaningful opportunities to be heard. As a child of immigrants, I know firsthand the power of being able to understand what is happening in your community and having access to the information you need. I want to ensure residents have access to city information in different languages and accessible formats, so language or accessibility barriers don’t prevent anyone from participating.
I will promote transparency by regularly communicating with residents about important city decisions, explaining not only what we decide but why. I will provide quarterly newsletter and social media updates, encourage public feedback, and listen thoughtfully to concerns. I will hold myself accountable by communicating openly about progress. For major issues, I will consider referendums or other opportunities for meaningful public input.
elect Elect 2
My history of city involvement makes me the best candidate for this position. I have been a member of the Little Canada Planning Commission since 2017. During that time, the commission has undergone a a full iteration of comprehensive planning for the metropolitan council, and we are currently involved in another. I have seen cases come to the commission that have shaped the way Little Canada looks today and will look in the future. I am a proponent of making mindful decisions that will benefit the city's reputation without negatively impacting the residents. My experience working with past and current members of the council and the mayor will help make the transition from commission to council as smooth as possible.
1. Enhanced Engagement - Little Canada has improved it's visibility over the years both with in-person events and digital engagement. I will continue to engage with residents in those ways. 2. Meaningful code changes - As we progress through the comprehensive plan, it is important that the changes we make attempt to anticipate what Little Canada will look like in the future 3. Transparency - Residents should understand the information that influences the city's decisions.
I plan to attend as many city sanctioned events as possible to meet residents and have meaningful conversations. As we expand our efforts to reach residents, I am excited to hear the thoughts from those we have not hear before. In my time on the commission, I feel we have done a good job of being cognizant of our residents and their unique circumstances. I believe we need to make decisions that will positively impact the broad spectrum of residents in Little Canada.
I endorse sharing as much information as possible through mediums that will reach the highest number of people. I will be happy to engage through my city email to hear what is on the mind of residents. I am also happy to take those thoughts that are shared with me and raise them internally with the council and mayor. I will ask questions and do my best to understand the pros and cons and the "why" behind decisions that are made that will impact the community.
