I believe I am the best candidate for the City of Wyoming because I care about the future of our community. I have a heart for serving others and I support change within our city. I am a member of the Parks Advisory Board, and have been navigating updates that make sense whilst remaining feasible. I am dedicated to listening to our community’s needs and working hard to ensure our neighborhoods continue to thrive.
If elected I will focus on the following: updating our parks, updating our streets, and supporting our public safety team. Each of these are pinnacle resources of the community. It is important for our citizens to have safe third spaces to enjoy. It is important for our community to have safe road ways when traveling in and out of our city. It is important that our public safety team have the spaces they need in order to take care of our community.
I intend to engage with our diverse community by continuing the interactions my family attends. My family and I participate in many of our city sponsored events such as Stagecoach Day, Night to Unite, and Touch a Truck. I will continue to reach out to community members for their feedback on the actions our city intends to take. With my husband as a member of the Wyoming Fire Department we know the importance of being there for our community and being a receptive listener for those in need.
My goal is to continue providing transparency for our community by sharing our actions throughout a variety of options such as a newsletter, word of mouth, and social media posts. Our city posts all of the city council meetings via youtube for the public to witness as well. I intend to ensure accountability for the decisions made by taking the time to connect with the community before actions and encouraging that community to reach out and ask questions.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
