I bring a practical combination of business leadership, operations experience, and a genuine commitment to Cannon Falls. My career has taught me how to manage people, budgets, competing priorities, and complex problems while keeping an eye on the long-term goal. I believe those skills can translate well to city government. I’m willing to ask questions, listen to residents, understand the facts, and make thoughtful decisions. I want to approach the mayor’s role in a practical, nonpartisan way—focused on responsible spending, thoughtful growth, infrastructure, economic development, and maintaining the quality of life that makes Cannon Falls a great place to live.
1. Responsible finances: Make sure taxpayer dollars are being used effectively and plan ahead for future costs. 2. Thoughtful growth: Encourage responsible housing, business development and investment while protecting what makes Cannon Falls unique. 3. Bring city leadership together: Work as one team toward the new Comprehensive Plan, with city leaders, staff and residents working from the same long-term vision for Cannon Falls.
I believe good government starts with accountability and open communication. I will support clear explanations of major decisions, responsible use of taxpayer dollars, and following established policies and ethical standards. I will encourage city leadership and staff to work as a team while holding ourselves accountable for results. When mistakes happen, I believe in addressing them openly, learning from them, and moving forward.
I want residents to have a voice before decisions are made, not just after. I will make a point of being accessible, listening to residents, attending community events, and seeking feedback on important issues. I also want to use the new Comprehensive Plan as an opportunity to bring residents, city leadership and staff together around a shared vision. Not every request can be acted on, but every resident deserves to be heard and understand why decisions are made.
Public safety starts with a strong relationship between residents, city leadership and law enforcement. I will support our police and first responders while encouraging communication and community engagement. I believe in addressing problems proactively, listening to residents’ concerns, and using available resources responsibly. Our goal should be a safe community where residents feel comfortable reaching out to law enforcement and where public safety remains a shared responsibility.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
