1. Health care: Restore funding for rural hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes, and lower health insurance costs to make coverage more affordable. I would support a sustainable plan for Universal Health Care that makes access affordable and providers sustainable.

2. Agriculture: Support family and multigenerational farms, help offset diesel and fertilizer costs, and build sustainable markets. I would also look at a partnership between state, federal, local governments, schools, and private industries to assist new farmers in the start process.

3. Housing: Expand access to safe, affordable housing, because it helps build strong communities.

Competition helps reduce inflation. I would invest in rural economic development to create jobs across Minnesota, remove unnecessary tariffs, support an end to the war in Iran, and attract industries that strengthen agriculture and rural communities in Minnesota.

I would support legislation that expands equal access to quality education, affordable housing, health care, and economic opportunity. I would also enforce anti-discrimination laws, improve fairness in sentencing and policing, and require agencies to measure outcomes so disparities can be identified and addressed with transparent, evidence-based solutions.
Yes. I support placing the Equal Rights Amendment in the Minnesota Constitution on the ballot, and I would also advocate for its adoption at the national level as part of the U.S. Constitution.
I would require rigorous, science-based reviews of how proposed projects could affect Minnesota’s air and water quality .

I would require industries to maintain adequate financial reserves for pollution cleanup so responsible companies—not taxpayers—cover the cost to clean up the mess they left.

I would require companies to demonstrate a record of environmental safety before receiving permits for new projects.
I would support legislation that strengthens community policing, improves emergency response, expands mental health and addiction services, and prevents gun violence through responsible safety measures. I would also invest in youth programs, offer community classes that help develop parenting skills, domestic violence prevention, and ensure fair, consistent enforcement of the law that not only support our communities but also our law enforcement agencies.
I would support stronger disclosure laws for political spending, reasonable campaign contribution limits, and tighter rules for corporations, PACs, and dark-money groups. I would also support public financing options, greater transparency for online advertising, and effective enforcement so voters know who is funding campaigns and elected officials remain accountable to the people. I would eliminate all Dark Money in politics and require for disclosures of all donations to corporate PACs.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
