Environmental Protection & AI Regulation:I will fight for commonsense, science-based AI regulations that hold powerful technology companies accountable and give government the authority to intervene before AI systems cause serious harm. I am committed to evidence-based policies to advance clean energy and protect our air and water. Affordable, Thriving Communities: Lowering everyday costs by advancing healthcare for all, expanding affordable housing, cutting child care expenses, capping prescription drug costs, funding public schools, and building economic resilience. Defending Democracy & Communities: Protecting voting rights, standing with immigrant neighbors, and delivering real gun violence solutions so all families stay safe.
As a proud union member, I know a strong economy starts with working families. I will fight to lower household costs by expanding affordable housing, capping prescription drug prices, and cutting child care expenses. We must invest directly in our green economy—creating good-paying union jobs in clean energy and modern infrastructure. When we hold corporate price-gougers accountable and support local small businesses rather than giving tax handouts to the wealthy, our whole economy thrives.
I will champion legislation targeting disparities in public health, education, and housing. As a community organizer with groups like Monarca, I know we must protect immigrant neighbors by passing the North STAR Act and expanding language access. I support ending environmental racism by ensuring low-income and BIPOC neighborhoods aren’t overburdened by industrial pollution, fully closing the public school funding gap, and investing in down-payment assistance to expand homeownership.
Yes, absolutely. I strongly support putting an inclusive Equal Rights Amendment on the ballot. Basic civil rights, gender equity, reproductive freedom, and protections for LGBTQ+ Minnesotans should be permanent—not subject to shifting political majorities or judicial overreach. As a public servant who took an oath to defend the Constitution, I believe our state’s foundational document must explicitly guarantee that every Minnesotan is treated with equal dignity and fully protected under the law.
As an air pollution scientist who worked at the EPA and WHO, this is my life's work. I will champion science-based policies to ban toxic PFAS "forever chemicals," protect groundwater and our 10,000 lakes from runoff, and enforce strict air quality monitoring in overburdened communities. I also support accelerating our transition to 100% clean energy and holding corporate polluters financially responsible for cleanup costs, so the health of our children always comes before corporate profits.
Safe communities require addressing root causes alongside common-sense gun safety. I will champion proven gun violence prevention: universal background checks, safe storage laws, and strong extreme risk protection orders (red flag laws). True safety also requires well-resourced communities—funding mental health crisis response teams, expanding youth programming, strengthening neighborhood violence prevention initiatives, and ensuring first responders have the training they need.
Our democracy belongs to people, not billionaires and corporate PACs. I strongly support a federal constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United and affirm that corporations are not people and money is not free speech. At the state level, I will champion strict dark-money disclosure, ban contributions from foreign-influenced corporations, close lobbying loopholes, and pass small-donor public financing or democracy vouchers to return electoral power directly to everyday Minnesotans.

The League of Women Voters of Minnesota and North Dakota crafted the questions sent to the candidates in the Spring of 2024. They reached out to candidates based on contact information in their public candidate filings. Candidates with email addresses were invited and reminded with emails. Candidates with only mailing addresses were sent a letter. Candidates with phone numbers received a phone call as well.

Candidate responses are published as they responded and have not been edited, except when responses were longer than the given character limit. In those cases, the responses are truncated.
