1) Safer, better-maintained streets and sidewalks by building out the Department of Transportation. 2) Making sure everyone has a place to call home and keeping housing prices affordable by building more housing. 3) Representing my constituents by listening and getting back to people quickly.
I serve with integrity and practicality. I sponsored legislation to create the city's first transportation department. I helped build low-income housing for mentally ill seniors and brought hundreds of high-paying jobs to Ward 9. I helped tear down blighted buildings and worked with colleagues to pass legislation to improve the quality of life and safety of all residents.
