1) Optimize all citizen, defendant, attorney and other interested-party feedback loops; 2) ensure impartiality at every phase: trials, pleas, intake, collection, motions, docket calls, etc.; 3) focus on justice over revenue.
Strive to avoid a case of "judge-itis." It can be difficult for elected officials to maintain proper self-awareness. I hope I am approachable, grounded, reflective and respectful. I sure think about it a lot, because I have worked in front of a great many judges who start to think their stuff is odorless.
