State representative, District 85, 2011-2018
Spanish Lake is 81% Black and 55% female, but the fire district workforce is only 18% black and employs 0% Black women. Minority and service disabled vets-owned businesses make up 0% of district contracts. My priorities: 1) Equitable hiring and promotion practices. 2) Inclusive contracting and fiscal accountability. 3) Community representation and transparency.
I have an extensive background in policy, oversight and advocacy. As a four-term state representative, I served on the fiscal review oversight committee and the joint committee on tax policy, where I worked to ensure responsible government spending and tax fairness. I'm committed to fairness, transparency and true community representation. I am the taxpayer's advocate.
