Simple majority required.Ballot wording: Shall a maximum charge of fifty dollars be assessed annually on residential property for lateral sewer service lines serving six or less dwelling units for condominium buildings with six or less units and for any condominium responsible for a lateral sewer line to pay certain service line repair costs?Summary: This proposition would increase the annual fee from $28 to a maximum of $50 for a city fund that homeowners can access to cover repairs of lateral sewer lines. The sewer line between the main sewer line and the foundation of the house (not the portion underneath the foundation) is covered. Application for coverage requires submitting a video camera inspection. If the proposition passes, city officials say there will be enough money to increase the amount covered by the fund from 85% to 100% of the repair cost.
