Four-sevenths majority required.Ballot wording: Shall the Board of Education of the Affton 101 School District, St. Louis County, Missouri borrow money in the amount of $30,000,000 for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, renovating, improving, demolishing, furnishing and equipping school sites, buildings and related facilities, including construction of a new library and classrooms and accessibility improvements at the high school, and issue general obligation bonds for the payment thereof? If this proposition is approved, the adjusted debt service levy of the school district is anticipated to remain at the current levy of $0.4900 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation of real and personal property.Summary: This measure would authorize the district to borrow $30 million to make improvements across the district. The proposition would not trigger a property tax increase.  Major projects include a new library and additional classrooms at the high school, ADA-compliant upgrades, safety and security enhancements and other improvements. The projects were recommended through the district s master plan process with community input.
